Workshop Description

Why make bread? Because home-made bread tastes so much better than what you can buy from the shops! Plus, no additives are added and home made breads are a much healthier option!

In this series of workshops, I am teaching how to make various artisan breads and to start, we are going to make baguettes and batards using 2 recipes – one a master recipe that you can make and keep for up to 2 weeks (so you can make bread any time you like) and another that is super easy to make, but requires time for the dough to develop. 

As this is the first in a series of workshops, I will also be explaining in detail the fundamentals in artisan bread making and also teaching you all the basics that you need to know.

Come join me for some fun baking and discover how easy it is to make super delicious bread at home!

NOTE: Please allocate extra time for the class as we need to wait for bakes to be cooled, yeast to work, etc.

What you will learn:

  • How to make master dough (keeps up to 2 weeks)
  • How to make straight dough 
  • How to shape and score baguettes and batards
  • How to bake baguettes and batards

What you will prepare:

  • Two baguettes
  • Two batards

What the fee includes:

  • Ingredients for the class

Difficulty Level:

  • Novice

Participants are to bring their own pens for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.

The maximum class size is 12. Classes will start with a minimum of 8 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop.

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will be cancelled. Participants will be informed via email and all monies paid will be refunded.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.

The Domestic Goddess Wannabe reserves the copyrights of any videos and photography taken in class for future promotional purposes, without any prior notice.

All ingredients are halal.

NOTE: All ingredients are pre-measured. Photos are for reference only and decorations may vary.
