In this workshop, we get cooking! I am focusing on snacks and sweets you can make for your family and friends this CNY!
First we are baking har jiong gai (prawn paste chicken). Crispy chicken that tastes so darn good and yet are a healthier option since no frying is involved!
We are also making Hae Chor (Prawn Rolls)! Who can resist these little bites filled with yummy ingredients?
Finally we are also making mango pudding. My son’s favorite dessert in the world – this is one dessert to die for!
What you will learn:
- How to marinate, manage and bake har jiong gai
- How to make stuffing for hae chor
- How to wrap, steam and pan-fry hae chor
- How to make mango pudding
What you will each prepare:
- 12 pieces har jiong gai (mid-joints)
- 12-16 pieces hae chor
- 4 servings mango pudding

Participants are to bring their own pens for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.
The maximum class size is 12. Classes will start with a minimum of 8 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop.
In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will be cancelled. Participants will be informed via email and all monies paid will be refunded.
Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.
