In this workshop, we are making a fondant covered cake with edible toppers.

You will also be making the cute giraffe topper out of fondant from scratch – practically everything is edible, including the toppers but you can also choose to keep the topper instead if you wish – it lasts a long, long time (no ants, don’t worry!) and can be stored easily! The name for the topper will be customized.

You can opt for a dummy cake – it is not edible but you can keep the cake as a show piece. This option is great for fondant students who want to keep specimens of their work as a reference, or to use at a later date.

You can also opt for a real cake (vanilla or lemon cake with lemon swiss meringue buttercream) which you can eat! (For this option, you need to top up an additional $15.)

This is a cake I would be proud to serve anyone – and I know there is not going to be any left-overs!

What you will learn:

  • How to frost the cake and cover with fondant
  • How to prep the base for the cake and topper
  • How to make topper
  • How to complete the cake

What you will bring home:

  • One 6″ lemon cake or a 6″ dummy cake
  • One giraffe (and assorted decorations) topper set

NOTE: ALL materials, including turntables will be provided.

Participants are to bring their own pens for the class if they wish to take notes. Participants may be asked to share workspace depending on recipe.

The maximum class size is 5. Classes will start with a minimum of 4 participants. Fees paid are non-refundable, and if a participant is absent for a workshop, no make-ups will be conducted. Fees paid cannot be transferred to another workshop.

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not met, the class will be cancelled. Participants will be informed via email and all monies paid will be refunded.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Full payment must be made at the point of registration.

The Domestic Goddess Wannabe reserves the copyrights of any videos and photography taken in class for future promotional purposes, without any prior notice.

All ingredients are halal.
